With a $1.9 million grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the University of Texas at El Paso and Sul Ross State University are two partners in a new program designed to train students in providing mental health care.

According to the story from KFOX14, 16 students every year for four years will work in Presidio, Brewster, Culberson, Hudspeth, and Jeff Davis counties, adding providers to the area and easing the mental health access shortage in far west Texas.
