According to The Daily Yonder, COVID-19 infections in rural areas of the country are up for the 10th week in a row, with 209,259 new infections as of Sept. 4.
The new infection rate is 50% higher than metro areas, with rural infection rates approaching the rate of the winter surge a few months ago.
