The Daily Yonder reports that rural Americans are picking up the pace in completing COVID-19 vaccinations.

According to data taken from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and state health departments, 292,898 rural residents got vaccinated last week, almost double the vaccination rate of late-July 2021.

As of August 26, 38.3% of the rural population in the United States is vaccinated against COVID-19.
