The Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs and the Purdue Center for Regional Development have produced an online data platform called Rural Indiana Stats.

Resources available on include population data as well as economic, health and cultural attributes of counties. It offers access to more than 80 county-level variables.

An added component to the site is the “Community Vitality Indicators” that can be employed to: (1) benchmark the current vitality of counties in the state; and (2) track progress being made by counties over time on each of the measures that make up the index.
