The Ad Council, partnered with COVID Collaborative, have created new Public Service Announcements (PSAs) of rural Americans sharing their experiences with COVID-19 and COVID vaccinations. Their hope is that by seeing people share their stories, those who are still hesitant regarding vaccines will change their mind and get the shot.

From a press release about the PSAs: “With the disproportionate impact of the pandemic in rural areas across the country, it’s critically important that Americans in rural communities hear these powerful stories from each other, their neighbors,” said Lisa Sherman, President and CEO of the Ad Council, “We’re grateful to these individuals and their families for sharing their powerful and poignant stories. Our aim is to uplift their voices, meet rural Americans where they are, and let these experiences inspire millions more to feel confident in the vaccines.”

The seven PSAs can be seen on YouTube here. From ranchers to farmers, small-town leaders and cowboys, the PSAs allow a glimpse into other people’s lives and how they continue to be affected by the current pandemic.
