According to The Daily Yonder’s latest COVID-19 update, rural COVID-19 infections have declined 12%, marking the third week of decreasing infection rates.

COVID-19 deaths in rural areas fell by 14% as well, with metropolitan areas seeing a 13% drop.

As of Oct. 9, Alabama, Alaska, Florida, Georgia, Maine, Nebraska, Texas, and West Virginia have seen a more than 30% decrease in COVID infections.
